Kitchen Renovation – Flooring complete
Here are the first before and after pictures from my kitchen renovation. The original flooring was a burnt reddish-orange terracotta tile. The grout had turned, from what I can only imaged was a sandy color to a black one, from years and years of not cleaning prior to my moving in.
Now the flooring is vinyl-laminate resembling aged wood. A single box contains 24 square feet, enough to cover the entire floor and cost me $47. The company which produced the laminate is called TrafficMaster Allure and has over ten faux wooden styles. Assembly was easy thanks to the tongue and grove design. It also did not require adhesive to the bottom of the laminate to ensure any shifting. Plus, I secured by placing the molding on top of it.
