Labeling the Breakers in the Circuit Box

February 25, 2010

You need to turn off the breaker or if it has fuses, unscrew the fuse in the electrical box to change an outlet in a room. What next? Of course you go to the circuit breaker box to find the answer. And what happens more often than not, the individual breakers are not labeled to their corresponding room or location. Spend a little time and LABEL THE BREAKERS IN THE CIRCUIT BOX TO THEIR CORRECT DESTINATIONS.

I recommend using a permanent marker to identify breaker locations. Stay clear of a label machine or tape, because these could easily fall off; plus it’s always a wise idea not use near electricity for fire reasons.
