Chalkboard Painting a Wall

March 14, 2010

You just ran out of a particular grocery item, household cleaners or toiletries.  How are you going to remember to purchase these items the next time you go to the grocery store or pharmacy?  This might be an answer to your memory dilemma – CHALKBOARD WALL.

Recently, I added both a functional and stylish addition to my kitchen in the form of a black chalkboard wall.  After applying an indoor primer, I then rolled on the chalkboard paint three times to insure a durable surface.  Let dry in between applications.  Make sure to follow the directions, especially on washing down surface and how long to wait before use.

Most hardware stores carry a named brand chalkboard paint, like Crayola, with some of the bigger hardware and paint stores carrying their own brand.  Besides the typical black and green color, today you can even tint the paint into a wider spectrum of colors.
