Raspberry and Blackberry Ice Stars

June 20, 2010

Stars on Ice.  Better yet flavored star ice.  When these flavored RASPBERRY AND BLACKBERRY ICE STARS begin to melt, this cocktail really starts to taste good.

Get one pint of raspberries and blackberries.  Puree individually in a food processor and set aside.   In a star-shaped ice tray, fill star molds with raspberry puree more than half way.  Pour water in the remaining part of the mold.  Put in freezer.  Do the same with blackberries.

Using a pitcher, combine 1  1/2 cups vodka, 1 cup triple sec and 4 cups white cranberry juice.  Stir and serve with the star ice.

Now that sounds like you should make that stuff by the pitcher, and have a party! That sounds mighty tasty, and so decorative for the occasion. Fabulous. Glad I stopped by. New recipe for my book. Have a great day!

Although usually a purist when it comes to Vodka (I keep it int he freezer), I’ve been scooping frozen Pom juice into my summer tini’. Stars sounds much more fun. Thanks for the tip.

Another great idea, Paul. Now I’m off to find some star shaped ice cube trays. 🙂
