More Than One Rug at a Time
The trend of layering rugs is becoming more and more popular today. Designers and homeowners tend to use contrasting colors, patterns and styles to create a dramatic effect. You might think about putting a patterned rug over a jute or sisal rug, or here, a natural rawhide rug over a shag. With children or senior citizens in your living space, try to use a lower pile rug when layering so that both rugs lay flat. When doing a two-rug placement in a space, try to have one neutral or monochromatic type of rug which is more appealing to the eye.
