Potted Moss for Decorative Touch
January 16, 2011
Here is a simple project which only takes minutes to do and adds an earthy, organic touch to a room; WILD MOSS IN A CLAY POT. First, fill a pot with dirt leaving about 1/2 inch from the rim. Next, add water until dirt is moist. Lastly, place and press moss into the dirt. If placing on anything valuable, use a saucer underneath the pot.

Great idea! When I’m out hiking I love to see moss growing, but wondered how I could have it’s beauty at home to enjoy. Love it!
And the wonderful thing about moss it retains a lot of its moisture, so watering (or remembering to water) on a regular bases is not required.
I love this. Very simple yet attractive look.
Cute!
what a great idea! looks awesome
The last time I saw moss was being used to cover the roots of a bonsai tree. Never thought of using it as table top decoration, pretty creative and convenient – no pruning necessary ha!
You may have your own reason but I thought it would be a good idea to put your YT videos on your blog and vice versa.
Emily,
I never thought about the the “no pruning” but you’re correct. Should have add that in the article. Thanks.
Paul
