Canvas Book Covers

January 22, 2011

Here is a unique way to create a uniform look in your library, COVERING YOUR BOOKS WITH CANVAS.  You can purchase canvas from your local art store.  There will be several choices to choose from; cotton is the least expensive per yard up to linen, the most expensive. It will give a more polished, rustic feel to your book collection.  Once you figure out the needed dimensions for a book, adhere with white grafting tape available at art stores.  If you prefer not to use tape, many art stores and specialty paper supply stores carry canvas-type material in paper form.

I think this is great for people who love uniformity. I love order myself, but when it comes to my bookcase, I prefer when I can see my book titles. That way it makes it easier to find.
